Multi-game champion Dominique "SonicFox" McLean announced on Twitter yesterday that he has parted ways with the defunct esports organization Echo Fox.
In his tweet, SonicFox stated that he looks forward to the future and new opportunities. "Expect new announcements soon," he added in the end, which could be an indication that he already has plans in motion.

SonicFox's announcement comes as no surprise as Echo Fox officially shut its doors late last year after several months of legal battles, internal strife, and claims of mismanagement. In November 2019, an Echo Fox investor was the first to announce that the organization had been dissolved and its players let go. The PGRU's #1 Super Smash Bros. Player Leonardo "MkLeo" Lopez departed from the team briefly before Frostbite 2020.
The North American player is a top Mortal Kombat 11, and Dragon Ball FighterZ player with several tournament wins under his belt. He has especially seen success playing fighting games developed by NetherRealm Studios. The North American player is scheduled to compete at Final Kombat 2020, the big finale to the Mortal Kombat 11 2019/2020 competitive circuit.
SonicFox also recently took part in the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals in Paris, where he lost to talented player and friend, Jon "dekillsage" Coello in the top 16.
