Heroic has announced the re-signing of former player Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer to replace Adam "friberg" Friberg who recently quit in search of new challenges.
Snappi previously played for Heroic between 2016 and 2018 but left alongside teammate Jakob "JUGi" Hansen to join OpTic Gaming. He was later released from the team in June after he requested to leave. He began his professional career playing Counter-Strike 1.6 before moving to CS:GO and has since gained a lot of experience from playing for several teams. However, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer will remain the team’s in-game leader which will allow Snappi to pick any other role.
“Snappi is what we needed in the team because he brings the experience and stability that we lost in friberg," said team coach Frederik "LOMME" Nielsen in a statement. "He fits into our system and roles and he’s gonna make the team and everyone in it play better. We have the perfect mix of players with insane aim and skill, while also having great team play.”
The new Heroic roster will play its first match at the ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup which begins on September 10.
