Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux has announced his retirement from CS on his personal Twitter

SmithZz has been a part of competitive CS since 2005, where he played Source. He was the coach of G2 Esports for a majority of 2017 but stepped down to compete as a player again. He was an inactive member of G2 up to his retirement. He expressed his thanks to the organization in his twitlonger.

The 31-year old Frenchman stated that he would continue in CS as a streamer with the objective of "making professional CS more accessible to the community."

SmithZz won many events in his long career, but his most notable would probably be winning the DreamHack Winter 2014 Major with LDLC
