The upcoming qualifier events are Genesis 7 which takes place from January 24-26 and Saving Mr. Lombardi 2 on February 1. The top four non-invited players from Genesis 7 will be seeded while Saving Mr. Lombardi 2 only has one spot to fill by the first-place winner.
Players will compete in wacky challenges to earn a Crowdfunding spot in Smash Summit 9. Fans will get to vote for the next entries and make donations to the event prize pool. Voting begins on January 19 with opt-in scheduled for January 22. The first player will be voted in on February 2, while the second and third will be on February 4 and the final vote on February 6.
