Rare has shared information about the next update for Sea of Thieves. The update will be more voluminous than usual and optimises the mechanics of updating the game. The main thing is that the patch will significantly reduce the size of the pirate action game.

The patch will appear on February 6. The size of the Sea of Thieves game will be reduced depending on the platform:

Xbox One: from 35 to 10 GB;

Xbox One X: from 47 to 25 GB;

PC: from 47 to 27 GB.

The players need only to download the update, which will reinstall the game. The developers promise that the initial installation size will grow only slightly in the future. However, future patches due to this will become a bit more voluminous. This will help the company to “more quickly generate and transfer builds”, which will speed up further development.

Sea of Thieves is a game from the Rare studio, which gave the world the Battletoads series, a multiplayer role-playing sandbox about pirates. The players unite in teams to travel on sailing ships in search of treasure and adventure together, controlling the pirate character. The players can and fight with each other, figuring out whose team is stronger, and whose ship is better prepared to conquer the seas.
