Schedule for Week 1 Day 6 and Results from Week 1 Day 5 of Flashpoint Season 3

OG and Fnatic are out of Flashpoint 3, but who is next in line to be eliminated? FaZe Clan? Sprout? NiP? HYENAS?
It's the sixth day of Flashpoint Season 3, and we saw the first set of teams eliminated from the event yesterday. In the first match of the evening, Team Vitality took on OG, and while the French squad hasn't looked great this event, neither has OG. Thanks to an incredible performance from Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut on Dust II, Vitality was able to win their pick 16-7, even though Richard "shox" Papillon only dropped 5 kills on the map. While Inferno was slightly more competitive, the map still went the way of Vitality, with ZywOo and shox both having great performances on the map. Overall, it just felt like the individuals failed to show up for OG, especially the young Shahar "flameZ" Shushan. OG is thus eliminated from Flashpoint 3 and will be unable to continue in the event.
As for the matchup between Complexity Gaming and Fnatic, that too ended 2-0, this time in the favor of COL. Complexity looked in control of the entire first half on Mirage, leading 11-4 by the halfway mark. Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson spearheaded Fnatic's comeback on the T side, but despite the Swedes' best efforts, Complexity managed to close out the map 16-12. Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson and Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin performed well on Inferno, but Complexity was once again in the driver seat, winning the first half 11-4 and closing out the map 16-10. Everyone on Complexity showed up when they were needed to, but it seems as though there are still issues in the Fnatic camp, and judging by the players' reactions after the series, it's unclear what the future holds for the Swedes. As such, Fnatic and OG are the first teams knocked out of Flashpoint 3.

The first of tonight's matches will be between Sprout and FaZe Clan at 19:00 (MSK). The German team certainly had a rough time facing Heroic in their initial matchup, but what else would you expect from facing the third best team in the world in your opening series? FaZe, on the other hand, is in a bit of a weird spot. The international squad had a decent showing versus G2, but the team clearly needs more time to reach its full potential. Both teams are pretty solid in terms of tactics, although you would definitely favor FaZe Clan when it comes to experience. What's holding FaZe back right now is the lack of consistent firepowe. Meanwhile, Sprout can almost always rely on Josef "faveN" Baumann and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich putting up good numbers. If Finn "karrigan" Andersen can't get the most out of his star players right now, he'll need to give great calls during the series, as Sprout is a fairly well-drilled and tactial team. If FaZe has done their homework going into the series, they should easily be able to read what Sprout is doing and adapt their gameplan accordingly.
At 22:00 (MSK), Ninjas in Pyjamas will be facing HYENAS. Hopefully, NiP won't have any issues with the server tonight, so we can avoid a repeat of what happened on Friday. While it'd be nice to entertain the idea of a competitive series, NiP should be completely untouchable to HYENAS. There's certainly a fair amount of experience and talent on the Danish squad, but with Philip "aizy" Aistrup on the AWP, Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz is heavily favored to win all the AWP duels. Provided NiP doesn't encounter anymore external issues, this should be a quick 2-0. HYENAS simply doesn't have the experience as a team to compete against the Ninjas, and seeing them beat the Swedes would be an even bigger upset than what we saw earlier this week.
