Schedule for Week 1 Day 4 and Results from Week 1 Day 3 of Flashpoint Season 3

The fourth day of Flashpoint 3 is here! We recap the results from Day 3 and go over today's matches.
After a short break, we're back with another day of Flashpoint Season 3. Before we go over today's matches, let's go over what happened on Wednesday. As expected, Heroic absolutely outclassed Sprout, winning the series 2-0 as Sprout was unable to get more than 7 rounds per map. Despite a valiant effort from Josef "faveN" Baumann on Vertigo, Heroic proved to be on an entirely different level, with everyone on the Danish squand hitting their shots.
The match between G2 Esports and FaZe Clan was the first of the tournament to go to three maps! Despite winning the first half 10-5 on Train, FaZe was unnable to close out the map as G2 mounted an amazing comeback, winning their pick 16-14 thanks to an amazing performance from François "AMANEK" Delaunay. FaZe's pick of Mirage was another close affair, with the match going to triple overtime, but Marcelo "coldzera" David rolled back the years and helped FaZe close it out 25-22. Sadly for FaZe, however, the squad seemingly ran out of steam by the time they got to Inferno and G2 was able to win the map 16-8, closing out the series in their favor.

Today's matches are bound to be very exciting for any Counter-Strike fan. At 19:00 (MSK), Ninjas in Pyjamas will be taking on the Polish side of Anonymo Esports. This will be Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz's first match with official match with NiP, so it'll be interesting to see how the Swedish squad has integrated the Dane in such a short period of time. There's no questioning dev1ce's capabilities with the AWP, and it's true that the Ninjas have been getting good results in recent times, but a win on the side of Anonymo isn't entirely out of the question. Kamil "KEi" Pietkun is undoubtedly one of the next big Polish talents, and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski is a very experienced player who has performed quite well since picking up the AWP full-time. Given their recent performances, NiP are certainly favored to win the map, but switching AWPers is a significant change, even if your new AWPer is dev1ce. Perhaps Anonymo can capitalize on that factor and upset the Swedes in this matchup?
At 22:00 (MSK), FunPlus Phoenix will be facing HYENAS, also known as ex-North. The Danes were able to keep their spot at the RMR event thanks to fielding the core of Philip "aizy" Aistrup Larsen, Nicklas "gade" Gade, and René "cajunb" Borg, although Frederik "Fessor" Sørensen will be playing in place of the latter. It's hard to say just how good this team will be, considering their only result comes from the IEM Summer Open Qualifier where they got knocked out by MAD Lions. It appears as though aizy will be HYENAS' primary AWPer moving forward, despite being a rifler for most of his career. He has certainly shown his aptitude with the weapon in the past, but becoming a primary AWPer is a different beast. Things have been a little strange over in the FPX camp as well. The squad had been using a flurry of stand-ins since signing with the Chinese organization, and only recently decided on their new fifth player and in-game leader Luka "emi" Vuković, who notably played with the team on GODSENT. FPX is a bit of a strange team, as all of the players, bar maybe emi, are able to completely take over games, but consistency has certainly been lacking. Obviously, an ever-changing fifth player makes stable results a rare commodity, but you'd still hope to see some sort of regularity from your star players. Nevertheless, FPX was able to defeat G2 and BIG in recent times, so perhaps Flashpoint Season 3 is where we see the phoenix rise from the ashes.
