Today is the second day of Flashpoint Season 3, but before we get to this evening's scheduled matches, let's go over yesterday's results. The dark horses, Double Poney, didn't only upset Team Vitality in the domestic derby, they absolutely destroyed them. On Nuke, it seems like only Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut connected to the server for Vitality, with the young duo of Kévin "misutaaa" Rabier and Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van really struggling to hold off the opposing aggression. In all fairness, misutaaa played decently on his comfort pick of Inferno, but Vitality couldn't hold off Double Poney's stampede.
While the young Shahar "flameZ" Shushan played really well yesterday, OG's two other stars, Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski and Valdemar "valde" Vangså, had poor showings. Despite the loss of Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, Astralis proved that they were still looking to contend for titles. Both Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander wielded the AWP yesterday, and Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth had one of his best series in a while. While both maps felt very competitive, Astralis was able to get it over the line and secure their first victory in Flashpoint Season 3.

The first match-up of tonight will be BIG vs. Complexity Gaming at 19:00 (MSK). Both teams have been floating around the top 10 in recent times, although both times these two teams have come face to face in 2021, BIG has emerged victorious. After all, you can't understate Florian "syrsoN" Rische's presence on the server, and BIG's chances of winning go up significantly if just one of his teammates is feeling himself. Still, Complexity are slowly finding their form once more, and where syrsoN is a consistent beast with the AWP, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer is equally as scary with the rifles.
At 22:00 (MSK), the Swedes of Fnatic will be facing the international mousesports squad. Both teams have been dealing with identity crises this year, with mouz struggling to take off under Christopher "dexter" Nong, and Fnatic seemingly lacking a bit of consistency in the firepower department. In the mouz camp, Mr. Consistent a.k.a Robin "ropz" Kool has kept up his individual level, and David "frozen" Čerňanský has also shown up in important series, but the team as a whole still looks like it needs time to get comfortable with dexter's shotcalling. Over in Fnatic, Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson is starting to find his groove since picking up the AWP full-time, but Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin hasn't been performing up to his standard, and the veterans have been very lacking in terms of fragging. It's also worth mentioning that 2021 has been one of Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson's worst years, statistically.
