Ryusei’s Street Fighter V: Champion Edition tier list is your standard affair with players ranked S to B, but for obvious reasons, Seth isn’t included in it. Since the Japanese player shared his list in his native language, here’s a breakdown of his views on the pre-Champion Edition launch roster.
S tier
- Urien
- Rashid
- M. Bison
- Abigail
- Akuma
- Chun-Li
- Kolin
- G
- Cammy
- Guile
A+ tier
- Zangief
- Zeku
- Necalli
- Poison
- Kage
- Menat
- Laura
A tier
- Karin
- R. Mika
- Sakura
- Juri
- Birdie
- Ibuki
- Ed
- Lucia
- Dhalsim
B tier
- Ken
- Balrog
- Vega
- Falke
- Sagat
- Blanka
- Nash
- Cody
- E. Honda
- Gill
- Ryu
- Alex
- F.A.N.G.
The flashy Urien main seems to have complete faith in his character as he placed Gill’s brother among the best players in the game. Rashid and M. Bison come as no surprise in this tier as well, but they’re joined by the likes of Abigail, Chun-Li, Kolin, and G.
Each tier is somewhat evenly populated, but about a third of the roster still sits in B-tier, including Street Fighter III villain, Gill. He has appeared around the bottom of other tier lists, but that hasn’t stopped pros from taking an interest.
Ryusei released his tier list the day before the official launch of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, which is why Seth is completely absent from it. However, even if Ryusei’s list had come out afterward, it still would have been too early to determine where the leader of S.I.N. fits into the roster. This means it also doesn’t factor in the most recent patch, yet it’s still a great pre-Champion Edition look into Ryusei’s head.
We should start seeing more up-to-date tier lists about a week or two from now unless players decide to share very early opinions.
