Ryu "Ryu" Sang-ook will reprise his role in the mid-lane this week, H2k-Gaming announced Tuesday.

In a release on their website, H2K confirmed that Ryu was finally free of the visa issues that had forced him to sit on the sidelines and would start for the team on Thursday.

Additionally, a quote from H2K owner Richard Wells in the release cited the Syrian refugee crisis as a factor behind the visa issues that the organization has encountered.

"While possible shortcuts were available and recommended to us, we believe that we have taken the only legally appropriate route to sorting out a proper working [visa] for Ryu," Wells stated.

For the six games where Ryu has been unable to play, Marcin "SELFIE" Wolski, on loan from Echo Fox, has handled mid for the team. During that span, the team went 5-1.

"Everyone at H2K would like to thank Marcin for his time with the team. We greatly appreciate his services in this tough time and we hope the journey was a worthwhile experience for him as he heads back to his parent organisation," H2K said in the press release.

SELFIE also confirmed on Twitter that his time with H2K had come to an end.

H2K is tied for first-place with G2 Esports, with both having an 8-2 record. H2K has matches against Team Vitality and Origen.

For his part, the Korean midlaner seems enthusiastic about his return to the starting lineup.
