Rumour: Ninja Theory is developing Overwatch-like action Bleeding Edge ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Looks like the latest title by Ninja Theory has leaked ahead of its official reveal planned for E3 2019. The studio was purchased by Microsoft a year ago, and today we have a rather credible rumour in regards to what it has been working on.

The mysterious game in question appears to be called Bleeding Edge – it’s a 4v4 multiplayer melee action with a remarkable cast of characters. The game resembles Overwatch a lot – mainly due to the chosen design approach and visual style. However, the current rumoured gameplay format and the emphasis on melee fights make a huge difference. This is a rather bold move by Microsoft – to ask the studio, best known for its singleplayer games, to develop a multiplayer action. However, given the expertise Ninja Theory has, the gameplay part will likely turn out exceptionally well, although there’s a fair question how well exactly it is going to work for a competitive genre. Honestly, we’d better see another singleplayer title from the makers of Hellblade.

Apparently, the game will be an Xbox One exclusive; however, there’s a chance it will also release on Windows 10 PC. We’ll know for sure during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2019. For now, you can enjoy the leaked trailer:
