According to a DBLTAP report, Virtus.pro is finalizing a deal to acquire AVANGAR’s CS:GO roster. How the new signings will affect the current roster is presently unknown, but it could mean they part ways.
2019 has been a good year for AVANGAR as they finished in second place at StarLadder Berlin Major while winning BLAST Pro Series Moscow, DreamHack Open Rio de Janeiro, and CIS Minor Championship Katowice. The last change to their roster was back in June when they added Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev to the squad.
Virtus.pro hasn't seen that level of success since 2017 when they took second place at EPICENTER 2017. The organization also fielded a legendary team that won multiple international events before 2017. Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski is the only member of that lineup that’s currently with Virtus.pro.
Here’s the complete AVANGAR roster:
Timur “buster” Tulepov
Alexey “qikert” Golubev
Sanjar “SANJI” Kuliev
Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev
Dzhami “Jame” Ali (In-Game Leader)
Dastan “dastan” Akbayev (Coach)
If the acquisition does happen, this will see AdreN return to Virtus.pro after leaving the organization in 2013 for Astana Dragons.
