Rumor: Kryze joins Excel Esports and Special promoted to LEC roster

According to an ESPN report, Excel Esports is signing Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition Top Laner, Felix "Kryze" Hellström, to their roster. Also, Mid Lane Joran "Special" Schaeffer from their academy team BT Excel will be taking Mid Lane. 

Both players will replace Son "Mickey" Young-min and Ki "Expect" Dae-Han, who were singled out after they finished 7th in the 2020 League of Legends European Championship Spring Split.

With the LEC Summer Split set to begin on June 12, teams are busy making roster changes during the offseason. If this news is accurate, it's great to see Special who joined Excel Esports in 2018 finally moved to the main roster. 

A teaser posted on Twitter suggests that the official announcement will take place tomorrow, May 1.
