According to an ESPN report, the new LCS franchise Evil Geniuses intends to acquire Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen and Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam from Cloud9.

Evil Geniuses has allegedly made a verbal agreement with Cloud9 for their transfer, but the deal won't close till the free-agency period begins. Their window of opportunity will start on November 18 at 4 p.m. PT.

The new squad will be built around these two players since the organization only recently acquired their franchise slot by purchasing Echo Fox’s in September. As Svenskeren and Zeyzal play the jungler and support roles, respectively, the team will still need to find a top lane, mid lane, and AD carry players.

The deal also happens to include the acquisition of Cloud9 Academy top laner Colin "Kumo" Zhao and AD carry Matthew "Deftly" Chen. However, they aren’t guaranteed a spot in the squad just yet, as Evil Genuises is still weighing its options. The North American esports organization is also in need of a coach, but it has secured a competent managerial team. Greg Kim, former Riot Games staffer, will join former 100 Thieves team manager Sabrina Wong and former Dignitas general manager, Andrew Barton.

Until five years ago, Evil Geniuses used to compete in the LCS and now makes its return under new management. Acquired by a Chicago-based investment firm named Peak6 Investments, they’re set to begin a new legacy in the LCS
