Rollercoaster Tycoon World is the newest project in the long line of theme park management simulators. The game was originally slated for December 10th, but today Atari announced on the game's blog that it would be pushed back to early 2016.

This announcement comes on the heels of the game's recent Beta at the end of October which allowed players to try a deliberately limited version of the game. The idea was that developers would be able to focus in on a specific mechanics of the game and gain feedback based on the results. Players were meant to focus on the park building and terrain tools at this time.

Unfortunately, it seems there were a quite a few frustrations with the Beta. Especially mentioned where areas in which Atari stated they intend to focus improvement, such as "easier “predefined piece” coaster building, additional coaster test feedback, a robust fencing tool, improved on-demand grid, and various smaller improvements," according to the blog post. There were notable concerns about the crash rates of free built coasters and numerous problems with fences.

It would seem RCTW is far from finished, but it would also seem Atari is more than willing to give this project time to smooth itself out and grow. There is no confirmed date for the 2016 release at this time.
