Rockstar Games has apologized to fans regarding a series of issues that have plagued the recent PC release, Red Dead Redemption 2, since launch.
The developer states that they’ve been hard at work trying to resolve all the issues presently plaguing fans. They were able to quickly identify and resolve several bugs with fixes for both the game and the Rockstar Games Launcher. However, some problems regarding game stuttering remain.
“We believe this is due to unforeseen issues related to specific combinations of Nvidia graphics drivers, Nvidia GPU cards, and certain CPUs.”
A new update will be released today to address the stuttering issues alongside other fixes. Still, Rockstar will continue to work with Nvidia to completely resolve the stuttering issues in a future update. As compensation for all the difficulties endured, Rockstar will gift players with a special in-game care package for Red Dead Online. It will be available to anyone that plays from now till the end of the holiday season.
Red Dead Redemption 2 released for PC on November 5, 2019, while the original console launch was October 26, 2018.
