Immersive roguelike Risk of Rain 2 has proved to be a successful hit for Hopoo Games, as the developers themselves shared the inspiring news yesterday – the games reached the milestone of one million copies sold through the Steam Early Access program.
The game has been out in the wild for a bit more than a month – Risk of Rain 2 released on March 28, and the title has managed to hit a million units sold mark since that day. Despite being an Early Access project, Risk of Rain 2 has tons of content and is blessed with a high level of replayability. Strictly speaking, constant replays in an attempt to get further in progress are the main driving force of the game since it’s the only way to unlock new powerful abilities and characters so that you can overcome the increasingly difficult challenges. The developers have shared their thoughts on the current state of the game in the official update. Hopoo Games believes that it has established communication with the fans, which, in return, is the source of high-valued feedback.
Risk of Rain 2 is a huge leap forward in comparison to the original game. The most notable change is the shift to the full 3D environment, which greatly added to the immersion. The game was also met exceptionally well by the community – it has 94% of positive user reviews on Steam.
