Riot Games, League of Legends developer, publisher and tournament organiser, has entered into an agreement with Nielsen to collect marketing and statistical information.
Riot Games will provide Nielsen with access to the summary views of League of Legends online streams, including data from the Pro View paid service. These indicators will be included in the Nielsen Esport24 syndicated product.
As part of the agreement, Nielsen will measure brand awareness during the North America League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), League of Legends European Championship (LEC), three international tournaments and selected events in Asia in 2019 and 2020.
Positive data from Nielsen can make the brand more attractive to sponsors.
