The Capcom company has introduced a new mode and retro costumes, which will be in the upcoming remake of the horror Resident Evil 2. The Japanese players who buy a PlayStation Store gift card in the Resident Evil 2 style will receive a bonus: Leon '98 and Claire ’98 suits. The number of such cards is limited. All other players will be able to download costumes for free from March 22.
The new mode called The Ghost Survivors expected after the game release. This mode is similar to the classic Extreme Battle (Rogue). It will be distributed with a free DLC. The mode is an additional story from the “What if?” category, where three side characters are the daughter of the mayor, Robert Kendo and the mysterious member of U.S.S. - not injured. The new enemies were also specially created for The Ghost Survivors. Some elements are generated randomly, and players are awarded points depending on the level of their developed skills for completing the stages. The points can be spent later in a particular store to simplify further passage. More information is expected later.
You can look at Leon '98 costume in the developer’s broadcast recording below. Also, Capcom showed ten minutes of The Ghost Survivor mode, which was present in the original Resident Evil 2.
The remake of Resident Evil 2 will appear for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 25.
