At once two significant events for the fans of League of Legends started the summer season 2013 - DreamHack Summer 2013 and LCS EU Summer Split 2013. As all the professional teams participate at Riot Games championship now, this DreamHack tournament on League of Legends was carried out for semiprofessionals.

Eight teams were selected for the participation in DreamHack Summer 2013, which took place in the Swedish city Jonkoping. The first four participants were selected in online qualifying competitions held on EU West and EU Nordic&East servers. The other four teams were selected during BYOC qualification, which took place just one day before the tournament. These teams competed for the pool prize of 30.000 USD.

The first tournament day was out of broadcasting, as on June 16 exclusively the matches of European LCS were broadcasted. But the results of some teams really surprised the audience. Such famous teams as Mousesports and GamingGear happened to be out of playoff stage. Looking at the results, we can surely say that these teams were expected to show much better performance. From the other hand, the new staff of Copenhagen Wolves (which was signed up just in couple days before the DreamHaсk beginning) and Turkish team Dark Passage showed us really a good play. The best results for the group stage showed us Heimerdinger's Colossi team, which won all its matches, but we didn’t expect the other results from this team.

On June 17 the playoff games started. Four teams had to compete for the championship in summer DreamHack. But, as we know, only the one team could feel the happiness of being a winner. In the first semifinal Dark Passage was stronger and outplayed Eternity Gaming with the score 2-0. In the second semifinal one of the tournament favorites Heimerdinger's Colossi felt the bitterness of defeat. They lost 0-2 to Copenhagen Wolves.

Two really worthy teams faced each other in final to compete for the top prize and the trophy of this summer. The teams were almost equal in their strength, but Copenhagen Wolves was a little bit stronger. Having won the third final game, the new “Wolves” put the winning point in a series of Best of 3 and became the best team by the results of DreamHack Summer 2013.
