Cheating is, unfortunately, one of the signature features of online PC gaming, and Apex Legends is no exception in regards to that. There’re a lot of cheaters if the Respawn’s latest, and while the developers are trying to fight back, we haven’t seen any significant improvements. However, the situation is subject to change soon.

In the recent days, there has been a series of reports from the Apex Legends PC cheaters who claim that they’ve been banned by hardware identifiers. Registering a new Origin account and changing the IP address doesn’t help at all – the poor hackers are getting banned nonetheless. Every time they launch the game with a new account, the cheaters get banned after the very first round. As you could’ve imagined, the common players are happily enjoying the tasty tears of crying hackers. This Reddit thread, in particular, is full of sarcastic comments. Moreover, the developers from the Respawn studio have responded that they are indeed working on hardware bans, which is great news.

There’s another life-affirming story in regards to a particular cheater who has been streaming his illegal deeds. The fella was banned during the stream, and he spent a lot of time trying to bypass the hardware ban and being exceptionally toxic towards Respawn. Luckily, the developers made sure he’s not coming back.
