As in any other competitive online game, cheaters spawned in Apex Legends ever since the game's release and there are lots of them, hundreds, thousands and these numbers continue to grow. Why people make cheats and how much they earn with it — read here, if you like.
It seems that the developers from Respawn have come to understand that they are not coping with the influx of criminals, who are increasingly buying expensive private cheats ranging from $50 to $150. EAC — game's built-in anti-cheat — is not able to catch every cheater, so programmers had to proceed to extreme measures.
If you didn't know, there are special cheaters' forums, where auto-aimers or wallhackers spend their time. And so, these forums began filling with reports about cheaters getting banned permanently through hardware. This means that after a cheat is detected, the EAC system saves some information about the hard drive and other cheater's PC instalments. The cheater will no longer be able to log into the game from a banned computer.
Justice, at last?
