Renegades had a great run during ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania. After a flawless Group Stage, they faced ORDER in the Grand Finals to earn the win with a 2:1 victory.

ORDER’s progress through the Group Stage resulted in only one loss to Renegades. Taking second place in the Group Stage, they advanced to the Semifinals to face Chiefs Esports Club. Beating the Oceania Minor Qualifier winners 2:0, ORDER secured their rematch against Renegades.

ORDER did much better the second time around, taking the first map, train, with a 9 point lead. Determined not to lose to ORDER, Renegades fought back hard, but their opponents didn’t relent either. It was a hard match that led to two overtimes, but in the end, Renegades took the win. The decisive map was Dust II, which saw both teams going back and forth in a game of wits and skill. However, ORDER failed to have what it takes to snatch the win from Renegades, losing the map 12-16.

Renegades took home $6,000 and 1600 RMR points, while ORDER received half the prize money and 1500 RMR. In third-place, Chiefs Esports Club earned $1,000 and 1400 RMR, while Ground Zero won no cash prize and 1300 RMR.
