ReKTGlobal has acquired the fan engagement platform, Fullcube which typically works in entertainment, media and sports. This deal will see them focus more on esports and a fusion of all three.
ReKTGlobal Founder and Chairman, Amish Shah spoke on the acquisition in a release:
“Through our acquisition of Fullcube and its premier technology, we’re going all-in on the enthusiastic fanbases through the creation of loyalty programs and monetisation by bringing best practices from the sports, media and entertainment world to esports.”
Both companies partnered with each other in July when they created an official subscription-based fan club called Rogue Nation for its Rogue esports organisation. The program is a “recurring revenue-generating initiative” which is believed to have acquired thousands of club members.
Fullcube CEO and Co-founder, Parrish McIntyre also commented on the deal: “This is an exciting day for the Fullcube team. We’ve only begun scratching the surface of the esports industry and are now in a unique position to leverage what we’ve done for traditional sports leagues, teams and other enthusiast audiences to help ReKTGlobal deliver exponential value to the esports fanbase. ReKT has a unique vision for the intersection of esports, music and entertainment, and we’re excited to put our technology and experience to work in support of it.”
Apart from Rogue, ReKTGlobal also owns Call of Duty League franchise London Royal Ravens, which recently revealed its name, colours and logo. Company investors include celebrities like DJ Steve Aoki, members of Imagine Dragons, Fortnite streamer and professional Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo and French NBA player Rudy Gobert.
