Red Dead Redemption 2: Camp Guide - Upgrades, Fast Travel and more ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game where you can do many exciting things. There are many exciting quests, cool enemies, and unusual weapons that you can use whenever it's needed. In addition to that, you also have your very own camp where you can stay when you are not doing a specific quest.

The cool thing is that you can upgrade this camp, unlocking more and more features every time you do it. In fact, once you upgrade your field a couple of times, you will be able to open things such as Fast Travel, which can be very useful because it saves you tons of time.

Unfortunately, upgrading your camp is not really the most natural thing in the world. In order to do it, you need to gather Ledger.

Let's take a look at what upgrades can you do and how much will it cost you to complete them.

I am upgrading your camp - how to?

Like we mentioned above, upgrading your camp will provide you with different features, and it will also make your place look fresh. Here are the steps you need to take in order to begin.

First, you need to complete the first five missions in Chapter 2, as this will unlock the "Money Lending and Other Sins." You need to achieve this mission, as well as another one called "Leopold Strauss," which is kind of similar. When you're done with them, you will earn your very first Ledger, which is the resource needed in order to complete the upgrades.

Upgrading your camp is very important because it also motivates the other people living there to contribute in some ways. For instance, if you start to improve your field and donate money to different things, the other members of this camp will be happier, which will result in donations of free items, provisions, and other kinds of things.

Arthur's Camp - what you need to know

One of the first places where you will stumble across while playing Read Dead Redemption 2 is Arthurs's campsite, which looks like a big tent. You will find it sitting very close to the wagon, which is why often people refer to it as Arthur's Wagon.

When you go there, you will be able to rest and sleep while also participating in some of the things that happen there. That said, one of the most important things you will be able to do here is to change your outfits. They are an essential part of this game because they can provide different stats, depending on the weather when you use them. That's why it is crucial to have at least a couple of different outfits that you can swap out whenever it is needed. In addition to putting some clothes, you can even get a decent haircut here. Sure, it won't be as good as the one you can get in a Barber Saloon, but hey, it's still decent.

When you decide to go out of the tent, you can try to go behind it, where you'll find a lot of ammo supplies. Feel free to get some, but remember not to "overstay your welcome" because it may result in a conflict, which is something that you want to avoid. Keep it in mind that you will only be able to find ammunition for your Pistol, at least in the beginning. Of course, this will change once you start upgrading the place.

The tent of Dutch

The next place where you definitely want to go to is the Dutch's tent, which is located in the middle of the camp. This is an essential place because the tithing box is there. Needless to say, if you start accumulating more money, you should put a portion here because it will help you in the long run.

There will be times where the money you put here will grow a lot, which means that you will have the opportunity to upgrade the individual tents.  As you probably guessed, this means that you will also unlock the unique fast-traveling ability that is priceless in certain situations. You can use it to get back to the camp whenever you feel like it, which saves you a lot of time.

The cool thing is that your positive attitude with the upgrades will also "inflict" the others, and they will start to contribute even more. In other words, you will work together as a team.

Pearson's special Chuckwagon

No matter how good a camp is, the cook is one of the most influential people there. Luckily, Pearson is one of the best cooks you can find. Apart from cooking, he also deals with the different parts from animals that are supplied to the camp.

You can help this guy by providing him different resources that you've gathered, such as pelts, carcasses, and more. The cool thing is that you can even ask him for some upgrades for you. However, he can only do them if you have the Leather Working Tools, which can be obtained through the Ledger.

Some upgrades will only become available once you unlock certain things via upgrading the wagon or just donate stuff that is needed. Just remember to give the recipe materials to Pearson in order to complete the upgrades.

The Wagon of Strauss

Strauss, as the name suggests, is the guy from Germany that also happens to be a doctor. This means that his wagon is full of medical things that you can use whenever it is needed. If you decide to upgrade this wagon, you will be able to get medicines for some of the "deadlier" diseases and increase the overall effect of the other things.

These are the most important things to know about the Camps in Red Dead Redemption 2. Good luck and remember - choose where to invest wisely!
