During the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals, which held over the weekend, Ubisoft officially unveiled Shifting Tides.
It marks the game's final operation of the year, and although a release date wasn't shared, the Y4S4 DLC goes live on test servers today. Two new operators arrive with Shifting Tides, along with a map rework of Theme Park and unique gadgets.
The first operator is Kali, the Indian leader of a PMC and a dedicated sniper. Her primary weapon is the CSRX 300, the game's first bolt-action rifle with a gadget that destroys almost all defensive gear. Her rifle can breach un-reinforced barricades and hatches.
Then there's the Kenyan defender Wamai, who is a member of Kali's PMC. He wields a throwable gadget called a MAG-NET, which scoops up grenades, resets their timers, and lets them blow like normal.
The Theme Park map will have its upper floor train yard replaced with a segmented bombsite. There will also be fewer windows, and the map is brighter.
The new update will additionally bring limb penetration and a new toggle to exit rappel. When it eventually goes live, the in-game prices for Dokkaebi, Echo, Kaid, Nomad, Vigil, and Zofia get a reduction.
