After numerous complaints by players about the “crouch and lean spam”, which prevents the players from being shooted by the enemy, the Rainbow Six Siege developers said that they would fix this problem.

“Recently, we have seen a rise of players encountering abusive crouch and lean spamming. To counter this, the team is actively working on how we want to approach the problem and planning our next steps. We are currently prototyping a few systems to address this. More details will be shared about our exact methodology as we draw closer to a final version.”

There was another problem - Dropshot in Rainbow Six Siege earlier. It was that a player falling to the ground couldn't take damage from shots. The development team fixed this mechanic last year. Unfortunately, the developers didn't share the release date of the current problem's fix, which will correct the spam crouch bug. It may take more than a month to implement it.

Ubisoft also announced the launch of the event “The Road to Six Invitational”. Each player can be the esportsman during the events, having experienced a new temporary mode, the rules of which are as close as possible to professional discipline.

It’ll be possible to play only on ESL approved maps: Clubhouse, Coastline, Consulate, Border, Bank, Oregon and Villa.

The playlist will be available only at the weekends. Here is full schedule:

  • January 25 - 28 (10:00 am EST)

  • February 1 - 4 (10:00 am EST)

  • February 8 - 11 (10:00 am EST)

  • February 15 - 18 (10:00 am EST)

Also, players will be able to get unique pieces of equipment for six Operators until the end of “The Road to S. I.” Moreover, 30% of the net revenue from sales of the 2019 Collection packages will be used to supplement the total prize fund of Six Invitational 2019. However, the maximum capital of the competition is limited to $2 million, and the income received more than this amount will be distributed among various esports programs.

The list of Operators:

  • Mira

  • Thatcher

  • Dokkaebi

  • Pulse

  • Ash

  • Doc

Four packages of the 2019 Collection are available for completing the Ubisoft Club tests.
