After long qualifiers, the top 8 teams for Melbourne Esports Open Rainbow Six Masters have been finally announced. Teams competing for $50,000 prize on Margaret Court Arena on Aug. 31 will be:
Fnatic
Orgless
Fury
Mindfreak
Oddity
Sinister
ACME Association
Rhythm
Both Orgless and Fnatic have qualified for the event at the top of their groups, ACME Association has finished second in Group A with a score of 3-1 behind the Orgless team, while Pro League Oddity Esports won against Team Cryptik in the final day.
Eight teams will compete in a single-elimination and best-of-three bracket in the Melbourne Esports Open, and the action will continue for both competition days. The winners will seize a prize of $20,000, and each team will earn at least $2,000 for participating in the Six Masters Finals.
Rainbow Six Masters was launched in 2018 as a four-team invitation, with Athletico, Dark Sided, Fnatic and Nora-Rengo from Japan, who have arrived at PAX Australia in October. Last year, Fnatic have taken the first place in an exciting 2: 1 series and will defend their crown on MEO next month.
