Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi joins the growing list of CS:GO players leaving the game to compete in VALORANT. Pyth announced his departure from CS:GO with a Twitlonger earlier today.
Pyth's journey in CS has been a little rocky since his departure from Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2017. He has played for GODSENT, Enyoy, Chaos, and Vexed since then, but was unable to find much success when compared to his time with NiP.
Here is a portion of pyth's statement regarding his decision to move to VALORANT:

For 9 years now I've been competing in CS:GO and today my career as a professional CS player officially comes to an end. Grinding 12 hours a day this game has made me to who I am today, I've met so much people that are so important to me in my life, I'm so thankful for everything this game has done for me and creating memories that I will never forget for the rest of my life. These past years (after NiP) I've felt that I have never managed to get back to the level I once was on, I never found a place where I felt I belonged and it has been hard to find the right groove with different projects, I have learned so much from all the mistakes but also taken with me the good stuff.
