With all the new players on the Battle Royale market, PUBG is definitely lagging behind in terms of quality and versatility. The game looks and feels outdated, to say the least (especially with its debut map Erangel), and the developers from PUBG Corp. are starting a new campaign of renovating the existing content. The work is already undergoing, as the team has officially confirmed via the announcement.

The story started with a few leaks that were uncovered by dataminers from the recent updates on test-servers. The users shared their findings on Reddit, and these include a few changes to the existing map of Erangel. You can spot tons of new buildings and altered heights of the terrain on the newer version of the map below. PUBG Corp. was fast enough to admit that the developers are hard at work rebalancing the existing layout of the map, although the studio insisted that the aforementioned changes and alterations are not the only ones that are being considered. Once there’s more information to share, the developers won’t hesitate to contact their fans. You can expect most of these changes to be tested via the test-servers.

The development team is also working on rebalancing loot spawns, and that’s part of adding brand new compounds to Erangel. It is worth noting, that Erangel is only the first one on the list with all of the other maps to join the process of rebalancing and remastering at a later date.
