PUBG Corp. has outlined the planned changes for Erangel ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Earlier this month, the developers from PUBG Corp. confirmed a leak regarding the potential remastering of the existing PUBG maps – starting with Erangel. The leaked map showed a number of additions to the location including new compounds scattered all over the area and altered heights.

Now, PUBG Corp. has published a detailed blog post where the developers touched upon the coming changes planned for Erangel. The studio behind the game doesn’t deny the fact that the very first map for PUBG got stuck in an underdeveloped and outdated state – especially in comparison to all the other maps. The devs actually ran a few tests involving esports players to find the weak points in the loot distribution system on Erangel, and the results showed that there were a lot of problematic places with the Gatka region being the least effective. It all led to the conclusion that the overall system should be revamped and remastered in order to achieve the best possible balance.

All the planned changes will be tested with the help of the community via test servers. If you are interested in the fate of the game, you should keep an eye on the developers’ blog for updates. The first batch of improvements regarding the loot and spawn rates is set to be applied today.
