Sony has revealed Sniper Elite 4 and WipEout Omega Collection to be the next free games on its PlayStation Plus lineup for August.

The announcement comes on schedule, the last Wednesday before a new month being the usual day we find out what we'll be getting. For August we get what is essentially three games, since Wipeout Omega Collection consists of WipEout 2048, WipEout HD, and even the Fury HD expansion. That's loads of futuristic, high-speed, anti-gravity racing for veterans and newcomers alike. The game can also be played entirely in VR, so there's plenty to love here.

Second is the third-person tactical shooter developed by Rebellion Developments, Sniper Elite 4. You play as a military sniper who must take out certain targets in the game. It also features a cool x-ray feature in which players get to see just how much damage their bullets do to their targets.

Both games will go live on Tuesday, August 5, 2019, so make sure you redeem July's games before then. Both Horizon Chase Turbo and Detroit: Become Human are awesome games that shouldn't be missed, especially since they're free.
