PlayStation Classic Game List, date and price

Nostalgia is worth a lot, and Sony is about to make tons of money

On December 3 Sony releases PlayStation Classic console, a replica of PlayStation released on December 3, 1994. The new device will be 40% smaller than the original and run 20 classic games:

  • Battle Arena
  • Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash!
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr. Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director's Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

The price of the PlayStation Classic is surprisingly low. If 25 years ago someone told me that I could buy all those games and a console on top of it for just $100, I’d probably start a fundraiser in my neighborhood and try to find a job.

I know that somewhere in Sony's office right now there is a marketing professional counting how much money he can make off my nostalgia, and I don’t really care about it, as long as the prices remain reasonable. Wouldn’t want to be shown an offer like this with a $600 price tag.

What classic games do you think are missing from that list? Let us know in the comments.
