SK Gaming have confirmed via their website the signing of former dignitas member Jacob "Pimp" Winneche.

The Danish player had been assessing his options after being left out of dignitas' roster as the team recruited Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel.

He will step into the shoes of Casper "cadiaN" Møller, who has been moved to a backup position after being part of the core lineup for little over four months.

The roster swap had been planned for some time and is unrelated to SK's performances at the fragbite Masters Season 5 finals, where the Danish team exceeded expectations as they beat the former TSM lineup and took a map off of fnatic.

"It's a big pleasure that I can announce today that I have signed with SK Gaming's CS:GO division," he told SK's website.

"After looking through all the offers I received during my period as a free agent, I easily found their offer the most interesting and appealing one.

"They are a group of players that have been consistently a part of the top CS:GO scene for a long period of time, but ultimately lacked the last little thing to release their full potential.

"I hope, and I really do believe that my presence on this team can take SK Gaming through the last little step into the very top of CS:GO.

"The potential is here without a doubt, we'll just have to figure out in close cooperation with SK Gaming as a home how to fully release it!"

Meanwhile, SK Gaming have formally announced that Andreas "MODDII" Fridh and Emil "Magiskb0Y" Reif are tied to the organisation after they played for the team as stand-ins for the last two months.

SK now have the following roster:

  • Asger "AcilioN" Larsen
  • Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
  • Emil "Magiskb0Y" Reif
  • Andreas "MODDII" Fridh
  • Jacob "Pimp" Winneche
  • Casper "cadiaN" Møller (backup)
