PGL has announced that it will host an invitational 1vs1 tournament on LAN with $25,000 on offer.

Sponsored by telecommunications company HTC, the tournament will see 16 top players go head-to-head in 1vs1 aim matches as PGL aims to create "a new breed of CS:GO events".

The competition will take place from April 23-24 inside PGL's studio, in Bucharest, and will be fully streamed by the Romanian company via its Twitch channel.

EnVyUs star Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and
Natus Vincere talent Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács are the first two players confirmed for the HTC 1v1 Invitational by PGL, with more names to be revealed in the weeks leading up to the event.

In addition to the aim duels, the event will also see players try out the HTC Vive virtual reality headset and take on each other in activities such as table football and board games, all of which will be shown on stream.
