Blizzard rolled out a new patch on November 13th. Here is the quick review of the patch notes. The main event is the addition of a new hero to the roster - Ashe. This explosive beauty from Arizona somewhat reminiscent of a witcher’s breed: white hair, bright orange eyes. She had a difficult way of life and she also has interesting relationships with another hero of the game - McCree. You can find more information about that in the official trailers.
Ashe’s arsenal has three types of weapons:
- The Viper is a semi-automatic rifle with two firing modes.
- Coach Gun is for short distance range nearby enemies.
- Remember, I mentioned the hero's explosive nature? The third ability: Dynamite is a thrown explosive that detonates after a delay or after being shot. It also ignites enemies as a DoT.
- For the dessert - the ultimate ability: a huge robot B.O.B., her loyal friend rushing into the fray, shoving aside the frontline to rough up targets in the backline.
In addition to the presentation of the new hero, the devs fixed some bugs related to the user interface, game process and made some major changes for four characters:
MERCY
Valkyrie
- Ultimate cost reduced 15%
- Healing per second increased from 50 to 60
REAPER
Hellfire Shotguns
- Spread randomization reduced by 50%
- Spread pattern adjusted
The Reaping
- Life steal increased from 20% to 30% of damage dealt
ROADHOG
Chain Hook
- Decreased the delay before pulling a hooked target from 0.5 seconds to 0.3 seconds
- Now greatly reduces the target’s momentum upon being hooked
- Cooldown now begins immediately, instead of after the target has been pulled
Scrap Gun
- Spread pattern adjusted for both primary and secondary fire
- Spread randomization reduced by 50%
Whole Hog
- Knockback maximum velocity increased by 25% (from 8 to 10 meters per second)
- Horizontal recoil decreased slightly
SYMMETRA
Photon Projector
- Primary fire beam charges up 20% faster
They also made a few map updates: the setup timer was reduced for Assault, Escort, and Assault/Escort maps from 1 minute to 45 seconds; Assemble Your Team timer increased from 10 to 25 seconds in the second round on Assault, Assault/Escort, and Escort maps. As for user interface updates - the “Unlock All” option in the Hero Gallery got removed.
A number of bugs were fixed for the heroes, A.I., maps, hero gallery and social. About the last one: you can no longer hear the voice lines of heroes controlled by players you muted, if you ever had that bug.
Have any of you tried the new hero? If you had your own opinion - share your thoughts in the comments.
