The full Team Stop Feeding roster and five players from other teams were banned from participating in the Contenders Trials China tournament for boosting accounts. A part of the punished will never again be able to participate in any event from Blizzard. This situation is the first time in the entire history of the Overwatch esports scene.
In the Chinese social network Weibo says that 12 players received the punishment of varying severity (from the ban on the season to permanent). The Team Stop Feeding support with the nickname tudouxi suffered more than the rest, while the Team For Victory, Alter Ego and CQUPT players faced softer punishments.
Team Stop Feeding was eliminated from the first season of Contenders China 2019 after they went through the tournament like a skating rink without losing a single game. Team For Victory silver medalist retained his place despite the one-year ban for Qingli.
The Alter Ego team will rise higher instead of Team Stop Feeding. But “sago”, “taRocook1e” and “zende henxihuan aqingna”, which were banned from participating in the campaign of 2019 will not be able to help the team.
The first season of the League of Challengers in China starts on March 15th.
