Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is about to be treated with a pack of new content called Operation Spectre Rising today, and Treyarch has officially revealed the coming novelties in advance. New Spectre Specialist will join Black Ops 4, and you might’ve already known him since Black Ops 3.

For now, it is still unknown how kitted Spectre is going to be. In Black Ops 3, the Specialist had an exclusive weapon and a special ability, but we can’t say for sure if they are coming to Black Ops 4 completely unchanged. Judging by the reveal trailer though, he is indeed armed with a powerful blade and active camouflage, which makes him temporarily invisible. Spectre is obviously going to be a masterful melee fighter as he performs some special moves that allow him to get closer to the enemy for a deathblow.

There’s a total of three new multiplayer maps. First comes Artifact, which is located in south Iceland, and it is worth noting that the picturesque scenery of the country could’ve been executed a bit more thoroughly. Another two maps are Masquerade (Rajshahi, Bangladesh) and WMD, which is a returning map from the original Black Ops game.

The Battle Royale Blackout mode is also getting a slight rework with the Wetworks Update for the initial map. This is somewhat close to Fortnite’s seasons that tend to change the in-game map; regarding Blackout, the part of the original map at the Hydro Dam location is going to be altered a bit.

Operation Spectre Rising first comes out on PlayStation 4 with other platforms receiving their piece of new content at a slightly later date. Yep, the limited time exclusivity of Call of Duty content is still a thing.
