OMEN by HP and HLTV have revealed the identities of the two amateur players that will be joining their upcoming CS:GO event.
20-year-old Marco "hayden" Witzner from Denmark and 18-year-old Nikolas "n1k" Laiho from Finland were picked by Astralis coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen. This Friday they will join six other players in the OMEN Challenge event being held in London.
The $50,000 duel-based tournament will be run by Freya Spiers who has hosted a number of FACEIT events. She's joined by the popular casting duo, Anders "Anders" Blume and Jason "moses" O'Toole.
Astralis' offices hosted hayden and n1k's bootcamp last week. zonic and other members of the coaching staff helped prepare the young amateurs both mentally and physically for the tournament.
Former Virtus.pro player Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski and Besiktas player Julia "juliano" Kiran will take over from zonic and his team. The duo will support hayden and n1k on the day of the tournament.
Only one competitor remains to be revealed, and this will occur during the show on Friday. Here's a list of all seven known participants:
