OGA Dota PIT Minor: Final day preview

After the “bloody” Saturday, when five participants at once left OGA Dota PIT Minor, the outcome of the seventh Dota Pro Circuit 2018/19 rating tournament is waiting for us. Two matches, three teams and only one treasured ticket to Paris for MDL Disneyland Paris Major! We talk about previous day results and pre-match positions.

12:00 CEST - Alliance vs EHOME

Teams definitely come to the Lower Bracket final in a different emotional state. On the one hand, EHOME went through a three-round “meat grinder” in the Best of 1 format and gained confidence. On the other hand, Ninjas in Pyjamas extremely confidently beat Alliance, showing who was the boss in the European home.

Both teams have particular problems with teamwork: the Swedes and the Chinese have forced reshuffles. However, it was Alliance who won the in-person meeting with the 2:0 score during the group stage. But it was the first match for rivals in Split, and since then the Chinese improved their skills. We are waiting for a very intense meeting, in which the Europe representative still has a slight advantage.

But the Grand Final picture, oddly enough, is more obvious to predict. Ninjas in Pyjamas have not yet lost a single map in the Playoffs, improving sharply after the “optional-experimental” group stage. Like the Vici Gaming story on a minor in Kyiv, now we can state: there is a ppd squad, and there are all the others. Add to this the fact that the rival NiP will not be fresh after a hard final of the Lower Bracket, and we get a fairly clear picture. As the Grand Finalists captain said in an interview: 

“I guess we’re just a little bit of a down, but we seem to be playing decently well, at least during the playoff portion of this Minor and hopefully we can get first place and pretend like qualifiers never happened.”

NiP have to win three maps, but if nothing extraordinary happens, then everything must go according to plan, Mr Dager.
