Ninjas in Pyjamas have confirmed on their website the signing of Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi.

The Swedish player joins Richard "Xizt" Landström and Adam "friberg" Friberg as the players officially confirmed by NiP for 2016, with the final two team members due to be revealed before the end of the year, one per day.

Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi returns to activity after taking a short break following a six-month spell in North America that was anything but successful as he failed to make his mark with either Luminosity or Winterfox.

The 22-year-old, who is expected to replace Aleksi "allu" Jalli on the roster, hopes to kick-start his career in one of the most storied Counter-Strike teams but one who struggled for form in 2015, winning just one international title, ASUS ROG Winter, back in February.

Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg have reportedly also agreed new contracts with NiP, who, in today's announcement, mistakenly announced the 27-year-old as one of the three players confirmed so far. The press release has since been edited, with Lindberg's name being replaced by that of Friberg.

NiP's confirmed lineup currently consists of:

  • Adam "friberg" Friberg
  • Richard "Xizt" Landström
  • Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi
