Majority of the food we ate in Fallout games was obtained from bombed grocery stores or picked up right from the dirty wasted ground, so it’s difficult to say for sure if this series has actually something to do with sophisticated culinary delight. Nevertheless, like Blizzard did with World of Warcraft, Bethesda decided to bring out their own Fallout cooking book. It got the name “Vault Dweller's Official Cookbook” and will be out on October 23 for anyone desiring to find out what Wasteland tastes like. The book contains many recipes of main meals from Fallout, such as Blamco mac’n’cheese, cold beverages with Nuka-Cola and the signature Mystery Meat Stew by Carol.
Looking at the table of contents, the cooking book has around 60 recipes of all kinds of appetizers, soups, garnish, main meals and deserts as well as more than a dozen of beverages.
The author Victoria Rosenthal has a themed blog about food and video games, called Pixelated Provisions, where she already published some of the recipes from the Fallout universe.
