Looks like, there’s a new chapter of sorts coming to the Pokémon gaming universe. Nintendo has recently filed a trademark for Armored Mewtwo in Japan in collaboration with Creatures Inc. and Game Freak. This situation once again fuels the rumours regarding Armored Pokémon who are likely to appear in the coming Pokémon Sword and Shield titles.

Armored Mewtwo is a no stranger for the fans, as this particular version first appeared in the universe a long time ago. There wasn’t a proper representation in the gaming series though, and now we have a chance to finally see Armored Mewtwo unleash his full potential. He might not be the only one if there’s full credence to some early leaks regarding Pokémon Sword and Shield that turned out to be partially true. According to them, we are likely to see Armored Evolutions of Charizard, Mewtwo, Flygon, and Zeraora. Those leaks were not fully confirmed, but now we have a slight confirmation via the recent trademark for Armored Mewtwo.

Mewtwo is almost confirmed to have a new evolution thanks to some Japanese merchandise, although it is still unclear what the real purpose for the aforementioned trademark is. Apparently, it’s going to be a side download for Pokémon Sword and Shield. All we are left to do is to wait for official information regarding the leaks.
