The trio of Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Richard "KingRichard" Nelson and Coby "Dizzy" Meadows continue to occupy the first places after winning the Twitch Rivals tournament at the beginning of the previous week. Ninja’s team won the Code Red Apex Legends Championship. The fun fact was that competition organiser Herschel "DrDisRespect" Beahm IV took only the second place.
Code Red tournament was held online on February 16. Eight teams distributed in a double-elimination format bracket. The participants competed in pairs. They had to score more points in three matches than the current opponent to get to the next round. The victory gave the players eight points and one point for each frag.
The Ninja’s roster, in which was the current holder of the record for the killings in Apex Legends - dizzy, didn’t lose a single match. At the same time, the team knocked the DrDisrespect team into the lower bracket from the winners' final.
Kings Canyon squad fought with a detachment of the notorious DrDisRespect in the final of the Code Red tournament and received prize money of $12,000 (the total bank for the top three positions was $20,000).
Prize pool distribution:
1 place: Ninja, Dizzy, KingRichard won $12.000;
2 place: DrDisrespect, Viss, RealKraftyy won $5.000.
3 place: ChocTaco, vsnz, HusKerrs won $3.000.
Dizzy, Ninja and KingRichard are likely to continue to play together because it already feels that the guys have correctly built interaction within the team.
Recall that recently DrDisRespect expressed its “reliefs” in the fact that he finally plays with a good duet of players. There was no direct mention of Ninja. But we all understand everything ;) We wonder what Herschel thinks now, being the second in his own tournament?
