The Swedish organisation Ninjas In Pyjamas decided to withdrawn from WESG 2018 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The team refers to "personal reasons" in their decision.
NiP isn't the very first team to leave the tournament so far: ENCE, MVP.PK, k23 and Isurus Gaming have already cancelled their participation at WESG 2018. Now group A, where the Swedes were drawn, consists only of three squads: G2 Esports, Team Singularity and Revolution.
Despite the fairly impressive amount of money (890 thousand dollars), the list of the team participating at the tournament is not the most famous. There are two main reasons for this: the 'one nation team' rule (all five players must represent one country), and also not the purest reputation of the organizers. Last year, some participants complained about the disgusting accommodation conditions.
WESG 2018 CS:GO to be played March 11-17 in Chongqing. 27 teams are to attended (for now). The winner will receive half a million dollars.
