In a recent statement, Ninjas in Pyjamas announced the arrival of 17-year old CS:GO player, Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora. 28-year old Dennis "dennis" Edman will be benched to make room for the young player.
Due to roster lock rules, however, Plopski will not be able to play for NiP at StarLadder Berlin Major, so the team will use the opportunity to test players in different roles.
The statement had this to say about dennis. "...Dennis has played a vital part in further building the NiP legacy by qualifying for not only one, but two Valve-sanctioned Majors. His contributions have been pivotal to our accomplishments in 2018 and early 2019. We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude towards you, Dennis. Thank you for your time in NiP and we wish you nothing but the best for the future."
NiP has also begun discussions with Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund about his future as an active CS:GO player. The team will begin finding a suitable replacement for him while they compete together at StarLadder Berlin Major.
"Christopher is one of the legends of Counter-Strike and a vital part of NiP. We will take our time on this change to ensure we find the best replacement for him and the team, with the goal of transitioning Christopher to a different role within NiP. We will keep all fans and partners updated as we go through this transition. Please join us in celebrating one of the most storied and accomplished players at the upcoming events."
In the coming weeks, we shall see what new role NiP will give GeT_RiGhT and what dennis' future will look like.
