The New York Subliners are one of the latest Call of Duty League franchises to be announced. Their logo and colours have also been revealed alongside their name. The franchise is owned by Andbox, which also owns Overwatch League’s New York Excelsior.
They revealed yellow and navy blue as their primary colours, while the logo symbolises “a weapon and a provocation; a crosshair and a moving target.” Subliners explained the meaning behind their name on their website, stating:
“Subliners is born from the grit and chaos of the underground. Like our city, our team is built from the ground up to be a movement that challenges the mainstream and the status quo. Our name resists definition, but it stands for all who subvert the rules and play the game their way. We thrive on high pressure, high stakes, and high intensity.”
New York Subliners full roster consists of Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparatto, Donovan “Temp” Laroda, Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi, Trei “Zer0” Morris, Dillon “Attach” Price, and Doug “Censor” Martin. The team coach and analyst are John “Revan” Boble and JP Krez, respectively.
London Royal Ravens were the first franchise to be officially unveiled for the Call of Duty League and Dallas Empire followed soon after.
