American hip hop group City Morgue teased their collaboration on what would appear to be a new soundtrack for either GTA Online or an unannounced game. Whatever the project is, the release window has been revealed to be Summer 2020.
Signs have been pointing at a possible Bully 2 release and GTA 6 in development. Either of them could have a hip-hop soundtrack, so chances right now are 50/50. Yet, Rockstar has other games in its library that could spawn a sequel to other games like Manhunt, or this is tied to a brand new IP.
Rockstar has shown GTA Online strong support since release that doesn't look like it will be ending any time soon. The developer has added new songs to the game over the years, so City Morgue joining one of the game's radio playlist is also not far-fetched. A City Morgue band member also commented that more information regarding the collaboration would be available soon.
Next-generation consoles Playstation 5 and Xbox Project Scarlett are set to launch in Holiday 2020. That makes a current generation release a bit unlikely, but not impossible as blockbusters like Cyberpunk 2077 have 2020 release dates. Whatever Rockstar have got planned, their announcement won't come soon enough.
