According to Electronic Arts' latest financial report, the company will release both games this year somewhere between October and December. No specific dates confirmed, although. These two games are scheduled at the same quartal as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order — launching November 15 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We can expect new parts of Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies to come to PC, Xbox One and PS4 too.
With the fact that there's not a lot of time until fall, we know nothing about these two. EA had a busy year trying to make a good game of Anthem, but at the previous company financial report, the company's COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen announced both games: "Looking forward, we're delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall."
In a subsequent earnings call, EA confirmed the Plants vs. Zombies game would be a shooter. Make two plus two and get the third part of Garden Warfare. Besides, more than a year ago, an Amazon UK had a new Plants vs. Zombies comic book listed, with a reference to an unannounced third part of the series. It says the comic book is a "bridge between video games PvZ: GW2 and PvZ: GW3..."
However, EA hasn't confirmed the leak's authenticity and remains silent. More news coming at E3?
