New Mortal Kombat 11 trailer featuring Kotal Kahn

NetherRealm has confirmed the return of Kotal Kahn in Mortal Kombat 11 via a reveal trailer, which doesn’t present the character in a traditional for the series way. Kotal Kahn, being the main star of the video, gets beaten to horrible death – and this doesn’t often happen in such trailers.

The video, of course, is not a defenceless beating up. Kotal shows a few violent moves and beast transformation while also making use of his enormous sword, but none of the above proves to be efficient enough to counter furious Jacqueline Briggs. It looks like the trailer is mostly focused on displaying Kotal’s bones that are being constantly broken during the match. The round finishes with an obligatory Fatality, although not the one you might’ve been hoping for. Kotal gets brutally sliced in halves after he literally loses his mind. Perhaps, the video will enrage Kotal’s fans who will take their revenge on Jacqui after the game releases.

There could be various theories on why NetherRealm altered the traditional course of events in reveal trailers, but whatever the reason is, it is worth noting that Mortal Kombat 11 looks incredible.
